Chris grew up in Chapel Hill North Carolina where he developed a love for the tar heels and a passion for sports and exercise. He participated in all sports but focused on basketball and lacrosse. He received his BS in Exercise and Sports Science from Elon University in which he utilized his degree working as a sports performance specialist working with high school, college, and professional athletes. During his work as sports performance specialist he developed a passion for helping others achieve their health goals, and he wanted to peruse further education in order to help people improve their health following injury.

Chris received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Augustine in Florida. He has worked in a multitude of settings with an emphasis on orthopedic and sports therapy. Chris's passion for helping others is felt in his lifelong pursuit of continuing education in order to provide the best treatment possible to his patients. He has received his manual therapy certification (MTC), functional dry needling certification (FDN),  and cupping certification. As the owner and head physical therapist at PhysioFit Physical Therapy and Sports Performance he prides himself on staying up to date on current research in order to provide his patients with the most cutting edge and evidenced-led treatments.

Outside of work Chris enjoys being a husband and father. He cherishes his opportunity to walk alongside his wife Tiffany both at work and at home. His job as a father is best observed playing sports with his kids and baiting a fishing line!

Tiffany is a beautiful woman in-side and out! She received her BS in Psychology from University of South Carolina where she learned the real USC is in California. She pursued higher education when she received her MOM degree for her 3 children! She is looking forward to working alongside Chris to keep his Diet Dr. Pepper purchase to a minimum while receiving consistent massages. Outside of work she is a highly decorated slalom skier and she enjoys golf cart rides in the nearby park.

Chris O'Connor, DPT, MTC, FDN, Owner/Physical Therapist

He received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from Elon University during which he utilized his degree working as a sports performance specialist working with high school, college, and professional athletes. After graduating from Elon College with a BS in Exercise and Sports Science, Chris worked as a sports performance specialist, training high school, college, and professional athletes. It was during this time that he refined his passion for helping others achieve their health goals, and decided to pursue advanced education.

Tiffany grew up in Dayton, Ohio, where she developed a love for all sports. She graduated from the University of South Carolina (Go Cocks!!) with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Social Work. She has been fortunate enough to stay home with her 3 precious boys the past 6 years. Tiffany is excited to be working in the clinic helping to develop the PhysioFit culture and overseeing the day-to-day operations. You will see her bubbly personality and smile often during your time at PhysioFit.

Marni has always had a passion for fitness and education.  She grew up in Evansville, Indiana and received her bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University in Health and Physical Education while playing Volleyball on scholarship in their D1 program. She also has her Masters Degree in Education. Marni has been an assistant volleyball coach, a high school health/PE teacher, and a School Health/Youth Marketing Director at The American Heart Association. Since moving to North Carolina, Marni has worked at the Lake Norman YMCA since 2014.  During her time there she has taught a variety of Group Exercise classes, worked as a Fitness Specialist and as a Personal Trainer.  

Marni believes health and fitness are the most important aspects of a person’s life and is committed to helping others achieve their health goals.  Outside of work Marni enjoys spending time with her family (daughters Ayla and Mina, husband Dan and Mini Goldendoodle Izzy), wake surfing, hiking and snow skiing!!

Miranda is a Physical Therapist at PhysioFit, and she specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy. She holds her Pelvic Floor Level 1 Certification from Herman & Wallace. Miranda is originally from Nassau, Bahamas, and she attended Elon University for both her undergraduate studies and her doctorate of Physical Therapy.

​

She is an endurance athlete that competes nationally in Sprint/Olympic distance triathlons. When she's not training for her next race, she enjoys exploring local parks, spending time with her friends and her boyfriend and playing a variety of sports. When she's able to go home to the Bahamas, she loves to deep sea fish, spearfish, and spend time with her dog. 

​

Miranda loves to learn and take continuing education to be a better physical therapist. We know you will love her!
